Copper nuts are defined as nuts made of copper (usually lead brass, such as H59, H62). The main copper nuts we come into contact with are hexagonal nuts or other copper nuts matching bolts. Copper nuts are not easy to rust, anti-corrosion, easy to heat conduction and strong electrical conductivity. They are generally used in rust-proof, high temperature, conductive, heat conductive and other use environments, such as taps, valves, electrical switches, etc. Another major use is injection moulding, which is heated and embedded in plastic parts or directly moulded, as described earlier.
As the name implies, copper nuts are defined as nuts made of copper (usually lead brass, such as H59, H62). The main copper nuts we come into contact with are hexagonal nuts or other copper nuts matching bolts.
So why use copper nuts in daily production activities? Because copper nuts are not easy to rust, anti-corrosion, easy to heat conduction and strong electrical conductivity, they are generally used in rust-proof, high temperature, electric conductivity, heat conduction and other use environments, such as taps, valves, electrical switches and so on.
Another main use of copper nuts is injection moulding. After heating, they are embedded in plastic parts or directly moulded. As mentioned earlier, brass has good thermal conductivity. For example, when copper nuts are embedded after heating, on the one hand, copper nuts can quickly heat up and speed up work efficiency, on the other hand, copper nuts after heating can quickly. By conducting heat to plastic parts, the periphery of plastic holes becomes soft, which is conducive to pressing into the holes; then, what is the effect of injection moulding? As we all know, the melting point of PA/NYLOY/PET is above 200 C. The temperature of copper nut increases rapidly when it is melted into plastic parts. After injection moulding, the plastic body cools rapidly and crystallizes and hardens. If the temperature of copper nut is still high, what will be the result? Clever you must have guessed, the result is that the place where the copper nut contacts the plastic parts is loosened or cracked. So copper nuts are used in injection moulding instead of steel nuts.
The shape of copper nuts used in injection moulding is generally circular with various patterns. The hot melting of the mould is usually cylindrical (as shown below). The shape of copper nuts used in hot or cold pressing has a certain taper or inverted spine (as shown above on the right). As for why it is conical or inverted spine, you can guess wisely.
Embedded nuts
Copper nuts made of various embossed wires (usually lead brass, such as H59, 3604, 3602) are processed by precision automatic lathe. The reference standard of embedded knurled copper nuts comes from GB/T809, but the technical parameters of various embedded nuts produced by our company exceed the relevant indicators of national standards.
The main operation mode of embedded knurled copper nuts is injection moulding. After heating, they are embedded in plastic parts or directly moulded. If injection moulding is used, the melting point of PA/NYLOY/PET is above 200 degrees C. The temperature of embedded nuts increases rapidly after hot melting into plastic parts. After injection moulding, the plastic body quickly cools and crystallizes and hardens, for example. If the temperature of the insert nut is still high, it is possible to pour the copper nut into the contact area of the plastic parts and begin to loosen or crack. Therefore, copper nuts are used instead of carbon steel nuts in the injection moulding of embedded nuts.
Embedded copper nut's external thread knurling has two ways to form. One is to use copper raw material to form and then go to the equipment for production. Generally, the drawing pattern of this way is straight, the other is to use smooth copper material to directly tap teeth while embossing in the process of production. This way of processing can produce one. Some non-standard size of knurled copper nuts, embossed with copper nuts embossing shape can be selected by users, such as mesh, eight-character embossing, herringbone embossing and other patterns.
Knurled copper nut
Rolled copper nuts are mainly used for metal springs, special-shaped springs, craft gift springs, battery springs, spring antennas, key rings, phosphor-copper springs CNC automatic lathe turning parts (copper parts, iron parts, aluminum parts), metal stamping parts, electronic hardware parts, iron axles, single axles, multi-axles, iron pins, non-standard screw screws. Nuts, connectors, fasteners, wire forming (metal wire business card clips, model aircraft landing gear, S hooks, R-type bolts, triangular buckles, D-type buckles) and other hardware products, belonging to the series of copper nuts.
Injection Molded Copper Nut
Survey
Injection-moulded copper nuts can also be understood as embedded copper nuts or embedded copper nuts. There are different injection-moulded copper nuts in the market, and their uses are also different.
Its working principle
The main use of copper inserts is to inject products into some plastic parts, which can form an effective internal thread after installation. The method of operation is to heat the product and insert it into the plastic parts or directly use the injection mould. Because brass has good thermal conductivity, pressing the copper insert into the plastic matrix after heating can quickly heat the product and speed up the work efficiency. The heated copper insert can also quickly transmit heat to the plastic parts, thus softening the periphery of the plastic hole and quickly pressing the product into the hole. If injection moulding is used, copper inserts are hot-injected into plastic parts, because of the embossing process of the outer diameter, forming and copper inserts form a certain friction and biting force, which can make them fixed in the inside so that they can not fall off.
